Embroidery
My professional practice is in embroidery, however my personal practice is in coloured pencil realism. I have a pet portrait business called Tilly and Co. Illustrations and am currently a member of The Bonny Snowdon Academy. I'm also undertaking my MA in Fashion and Textiles, specialising in embroidery to help support my professional practice.
I've been a member of the Bonny Snowdon Academy for a few years now and this Leopard's eye is one of the tutorials from her course. It's drawn in coloured pencil on drafting film and took roughly 7 hours to complete.
I really enjoy working in an environment of creatives, both colleagues and students. There's something really fulfilling when the workshop is buzzing from the sound of machines and every table is covered in student work. I really enjoy engaging with students about their work!
