Laura Lynchehan is a Senior Technician working in the Heavy Duty Hub at NTU. She studied Footwear Design and built her career in the industry as a footwear designer before transitioning into her technical role at the university. Laura’s practice is deeply rooted in her passion for footwear and leatherworking, and she continues to create footwear and accessories as part of her personal work. Laura also teaches a Footwear short course at NTU, combining her love of footwear and teaching.
Laura and Lauren’s collaborative practice is rooted in a shared passion for footwear design, knit, crochet, and leatherworking. Not necessarily a final outcome, this exhibition has offered us a unique opportunity to collaborate, exploring ideas and sharing processes within our own specialisms which has now become an ongoing project.
