Senior Technician
Garment Construction
I currently work as a senior technician in Garment construction. I studied MA Fashion Knitwear at NTU, graduating in 2020 which then led me to a role as a bank staff technician on the knit team. I am drawn to the tactile and exploratory nature of making and my practice centres on creative thinking and process-led experimentation. My background in fashion and knitwear allows me to combine and explore innovative approaches to garment construction, blending traditional techniques with contemporary processes.
Laura and Lauren’s collaborative practice is rooted in a shared passion for footwear design, knit, crochet, and leatherworking. Not necessarily a final outcome, this exhibition has offered us a unique opportunity to collaborate, exploring ideas and sharing processes within our own specialisms which has now become an ongoing project.
