Suzy is a textile artist and print maker based in Nottingham. Graduating with a BA Hons in Textile Design in 2021 Suzy followed this by completing the MA in Textile Design Innovation, both at NTU. She is currently developing her own practice where she creates artworks using both embroidery and print. Suzy was a finalist in the Student Textile Art category of the Hand & Lock Prize in 2021, exhibited at the Knit + Stitch as an Embroiderers' Guild graduate in 2022 and is a professional member of Design Nation.
Suzy’s work aims to capture the beauty and character of British wildlife using illustrative, textural explorations offset by negative spaces. She enjoys exploring print techniques and is particularly intrigued by the collagraph process and the many ways of creating textural finishes.
As well as being able to share my knowledge and experiences with the students I have lucky to have also had some great opportunities within the Print Team to learn and develop new skills and knowledge myself.
